I’m Lisa Cannon, the owner and dyer behind Fibernymph Dye Works. My studio is located in the beautiful Laurel Mountains region of southwestern Pennsylvania. As an avid knitter with a passion for stripe-y socks, I started Fibernymph Dye Works in January 2011 in response to my desire to see more self-striping yarns available in the indie-dyed market.

All of my self-striping yarns feature hand-wound patterns that are then hand-dyed in small batches and finally reskeined by hand as well. It is a time and labor-intensive process, but one to which I am committed in order to create the types of products that I want to offer to my customers.

While self-striping remains my primary focus, my product line is accentuated with a rotation of other unique products as well, including mini skein sets, original knitwear patterns, project sets, spinning fiber, and a variety of accessories and notions. Whatever your fiber-crafting desires are, I hope you will find something you love among the items I have to share with you.

I regularly share insights into my own crafting practices on my Fibernymph Dye Works YouTube channel. I also send out newsletters periodically with information about new products, events, and stories of my inspiration. See links to both the YouTube channel as well as the newsletter sign up at the bottom of this page.

There is much need in our world, and I believe in the importance of providing a helping, healing light whenever possible. I periodically offer products with the purpose of raising funds for various causes to support those in need locally, nationally, and world-wide are important to me.

Working to end veteran suicide is a cause very dear to my heart, and I support K9s for Warriors on a regular basis, as I believe in their mission. My Fluffy Hearts pattern is a permanent fundraising item which provides a donation to this organization.
