Fibernymph Dye Works is a small, family owned and operated yarn and fiber dyeing business based in rural southwestern Pennsylvania. Among our diverse product line, we specialize in dyeing self-striping yarns as well as gradient and progressive-dyed yarns and spinning fibers.
Fiber arts have been a large part of my life for some years, as a knitter, spinner and most recently a weaver. Dyeing was a natural progression for me in my fiber-y obsession. As the creative personality behind FDW, color is a huge inspiration for me. You’ll see that in the often bright, bold colorways I offer. Most of my colors are semi-solid in nature, adding texture to whatever is created with our yarns.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to offer high quality hand-dyed yarns and fibers to my fellow fiber enthusiasts. I do hope you’ll enjoy using them as much as I enjoy creating them! In addition to periodic shop updates, I also dye for some yarn shops (including The Loopy Ewe), and I’m always looking for new fiber events and shows to vend so that I can bring our products directly to you!
You can find me on Plurk and on Ravelry as fibernymph, and you can reach me via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. I also host a weekly knitting videocast called 90% Knitting, which you can watch here on the blog, at Blip.tv, or on iTunes.
