About

Hello! I’m Lisa, the owner of Fibernymph Dye Works, along with my husband Kevin, who is my biggest supporter in so many ways. When I shared my idea of starting my own yarn and fiber dyeing business, he didn’t bat an eye but instead just listened and said I should go for it. Gotta love that in a guy.

Kevin and I, with two of our three kids, make our home in rural southwestern Pennsylvania, just east of Pittsburgh. Chris and Emma are teenagers, whom we homeschool, and our oldest, Zach, is serving with the Marines and is currently in Afghanistan. Our household is made complete with our cat, Larry, and our mini Schnauzer, Muffin, who was a puppy mill rescue and is fairly neurotic but totally lovable.

I’ve always been drawn toward creative endeavors. Color and texture inspire me greatly. As an avid knitter and spinner, dyeing my own yarn and fiber seemed like a natural next step. Emma, who has some mad sewing skills, wanted to start making bags to sell. Since one of my goals in starting this business was to provide an opportunity for my kids to take part in it, I decided to include project bags and some small accessories to our line up as well.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to embark on this new creative adventure with my family, and I do hope you will enjoy the products of our efforts!

You can find me on Plurk and on Ravelry as fibernymph, and you can reach me via e-mail at fibernymph@gmail.com. I also host a weekly knitting videocast called 90% Knitting, which you can watch here on the blog, at Blip.tv, or on iTunes.

Love your pod cast and thank you for all the ideas you come up with. Tell your son SEMPER FI from a former Marine. “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”! Thank him for his service to our great United States of America… we support him and his Marine family and all our troops 100%%%%%%%. You do a great job on the pod cast, keep up the good work.
